What lies beyond the Portal
Our Hyperresonance gang has all hit lvl 58 and made it to the OUTLAND early this morning! I'm so proud of everyone XD
Going strong from lvl 1 to now, it's mind boggling how all of us kept within 1 level of each other. Now we'll be levelling our last 12 levels in the newest continent from the latest wow expansion - working towards Epic land mounts & eventually the Flying mounts!

Yes I've been so inactive on LJ and forums because of World of Warcraft. Been playing this game with Moggy, Mike & Adam almost every night - we love our Blood Elves! They're growing so strong, although levelling has been slow as of late, cos we all have to study for finals starting this week.
Anyhow, I've been playing with a program called Fraps, using its free version to record random in-game clips of "Emba", my Hunter in WOW. (Any Yaoi fans out there recognize this name? :P)
Just for fun, I made a short video showing the gay male bloodelf dances, and snapshots of what it's like to play a hunter. Watch it here.
Maybe I'll make more?

Yep, back to World of Warcraft because of the awesome Horde blood-elves in the recent expansion... as if I don't take too little pics of the bjd crew already. (I do fuss with them everyday though - Glade especially <3 )
My crazy lvl 60 Gundam Frost Mage back from retirement (July 06) to replace her epic armor with overpowered 'green' quest armor? (WTH Blizzard, you suck!)
It's fun to be lowbies again and trying out new quests (both lowbie Bloodelf ones and the crazy lvl 60+ ones in the Outerlands) - difference is, the 3 closest people around me at this point of my life are playing with me XD
Yesh - fear the nubs!! ....if and when they get to lvl 60.

Haven't posted anything in several weeks now, because me and Mog have been caught up playing Ragnarok Online & Phantasy Star Universe at the same time with friends. And because the World of Warcraft "Burning Crusade" extension just came out, we're also contemplating playing as bloodelves there XD
However, we somehow still manage to find some bits of time to spend on our aBJD crew.

Finally got around to re-doing Ruin's faceup today - changed his eyes to Orange ones from Souldoll. He now looks alot like my sniper from Ragnarok Online, who's called Ruin too! so qiao!
Moggy redid Edelia's faceup too... and she looks really strange! O_O;

Actually, they arrived on friday morning, Dec 1 - nice date, but we didn't get to work on their empty faces till yesterday. (We've been really busy hanging out with Mike and Adam playing PS2 "Tales of the Abyss") Ruin and Arcia were both purchased together in late october during the Souldoll 1+1 event, Ruin being a General Edition Paris, and Arcia being a Soulkid Tiffee (girl).

Hii-chan had finally uploaded the photos her friend, charmaine, had taken during a simple get-together in Singapore! The meet was held in september, at me and moggy's house, in my room - the lighting wasn't fantastic, but I'm glad some of the pics came out decent :D Hii-chan was the only one with a dollfie, but we'd brought all four of ours, so there was plenty to mess around with anyhow~

It's been quite awhile since we'd bought anything new for our dollfies, and the gifts Moggy and Mike bought for them was a pleasant surprise XD They're not overly expensive too compared to what I see similiar ones going for on ebay~
Carnage & Glade having fun with their new toys while i slave at the sewing machine XD (that's why Carnage's shirtless, not that he minds! Glade's just here (and not upstairs where the other 2 are) cos he makes me happy ^^

Me and Moggy were packing our luggage bags today, and clearing up the house as well - and our crew all fit into 1 luggage bag!
They look so awkward and funny with their bubble-wrap boxing gloves: (Glade's too 1337 for them)
Haiz, flight is in 2 days! I really hope our dollfies are comfortable in the luggage... wanted to bring them in our carry-ons, but figured there're just too many of them (they're heavy!) to drag around, and the hard suitecase will protect them better - we're stuffing the bag with 7 large dollfie pillows just in case!
Aww gonna miss seeing them around the apartment while they're all packed up ;_; |

Maybe it's cos of 5 weeks ago, when my car went in for repairs, that I've had so many hours to draw on the public bus to summer school and back, 3 times a week. Been doodling so many random things while having anime & jrock music blasting through my earphones (seriously, my ipod hasn;t been used so often) - and I figured why not start drawing some gift art of dolls in the aBJD community that have a large influence on me, and have kept me entertained and happy since I'd started the hobby. I don't know how long this drawing craze will last, but I'm gonna make an effort to draw as much as possible... and try not to do them on lined paper ><;
Anyhow, below is probably one of my better sketches so far, of Jenova & Fuan from Angel Hunt. I so love her shounen-ai angsty stories, and also Jenova happens to be similiar mold to Glade, and Fuan to Carnage! (pure coincidence, but I'm happy all the same... not that Glade/Carnage will ever happen though, haha)
Note: Fuan is the one with dark hair, and yes, that's a dress, but it's how Fuan dresses. And he's really really pretty too, in resin XD Jenova looks like Crim from the side =x =x =x
Hmm, wonder which dolls I'll draw next.

came across a really disturbing entry about High-bidding frauds posted from Kyashieru's lj... wow I'd long forgotten about the existence of such cases on auctions... anyhow, spread the word if you happen to be interested in auctions, or are in the bjd community as well, since this won't be going onto the DoA forums where it'll cause alot of commotion...
i'm just glad I dont have the patience for bidding, nor do I know how to operate Y!J that well (I've yet to figure out how to use an online buying service to bid for you there since 99% of sellers there dont ship overseas) - Buy Now option for the win! |

uwaaah, Crim and Glade have given me so much dollfie inspiration since the day before that I could hardly sleep! Had no trouble at all waking up at 6.30am today for a shower and took the car in for repair. Moomba and Moggy are now officially stranded in their apartment for 2 weeks ^_^;; (damn, lemme be 21 so I can rent a car!)
Most of the afternoon was spent catching up on reading LJs, forum threads, and then shooting and making my first start-stop abjd animation movie! it took about 4 hours total (I lost my near complete movie file once, and had to start over) - in my opinion, time well spent for the happiness, learning and amusement it was worth!
Anyhowz, some preview photos and the movie: do enjoy, and feedback/tips for improvement are much appreciated!

The past 2 days of freedom from Spring finals being over, and any social outings out of the way, have led me to be on a huge dollfie-related updating spree! I'm sooo glad to be able to work on the Netherwind Embrace project again, so much that my slight return to WOW has been tossed aside again (mmm compared to how much I'd played during the earlier part of the week while waiting for friends to study for their finals when i'd already completed studies for my own).

1) Netherwind Whispers - Chapter II
A majority of it was written at least 2 weeks ago, but edited heavily according to many new ideas I'd came up with (with Moggy's help) recently. Inspiration comes when it comes, so write when it does!
2) Because Chapter II is up and completed, Chapter III is in progress. I've given up trying to be philosophical like Anne Rice, so I'm just writing the story simple, descriptive like I like it, and hopefully entertaining. I want more chapters up! My head is gonna burst cos of the many ideas.
3) A DoA moderator and creator of a new VOLKS FAQ Database communicated with me through forum PMs - Glade is honored to join several other gorgeous F17s ("pokes Akito & Tolen*) in the F17 headmold database!
4) Glade has a new split-personality... CRIM

5) A potential new addition to our doll family, essential to Glade's past. She has no planned physical existance yet (I'm considering some doll molds Moggy showed me from Dream of Doll). She'll probably be a 40cm doll, and her personality and appearance are still being decided. I'll need to introduce her into the story first, which might be at least 2 chapters away, before we consider actually getting a physical form for her.
Fangirl shout to: Axel! I actually like Axel (Kingdom Hearts II) more than I realized o_O|| Must stalk her LJ Aaaaaaa! <3
And hurrah, my car can finally see the car doctor tomorrow, and me and moggy will resort to more familiar homeland ways of transportation - public bus! LOL ooh dear, need to start charging my ipod again. and WTF, summer school starts this thursday! Euuuw.. but at least its only 3 times a week. Oh yeah, and more home cooking since the car will be gone =) |

| Fanime 2006 - May 26-29 |

Gah, memorial day weekend was madness~ Fanime 2006 happened, and me and mog took Glade & Carnage to the major bjd photoshoot and panel on saturday. first time meeting up with other doll owners irl, and seeing actual dolls from the forums in person resin XD didn;t expect such a small con like fanime to have so many doll owners attend, and the amazing thing about it was that for the 30-40 dolls we saw, that was only a fraction of what all the owners actually had, but didnt bring cos it was too much to carry around a con.. me and mog brought carnage + Glade, and it was already quite tiring holding them in 1 arm for the whole morning =x we were just relieved that they looked pretty decent in their outfits we'd rushed to make a few days earlier ^_^

We took Glade & Carnage out for a mini-shopping spree at the Golden Gate Doll Show in San Jose.
it's not much of a show, but rather, a huge dealers' room for people selling and buying new and old dolls/toys/stuffies. me and moggy were definitely one of the youngest there - majority were middle-aged to old old ladies ^^; I'd been to this show once before, about 1/2 a year ago, and bought several dollfie stuffs from this one Soom doll stall that happened to be there. (the only stall that had anything remotely close to aBJDs, instead of barbies, action figures and the other multitude of children dolls and porcelain ones that the previous doll collector generations are familiar with)

the new brown fur wig i'd ordered randomly off ebay arrived today, with 2 more pairs of eyes (my eye collection is growing horrifyingly large) - anyways, the brown fur wig is so awesome! it's slightly wavy, but the fur is so long =D been in a fur wig craze these few weeks - and I have no idea why I keep trying to style them to be like Cloud's (FF7) hair ><;; this one does it really well though! *grinz at Lunaris*

Lunaris has been sitting around in his new outfit for about a week now, before I finally got off school early today and took time off to take piccies of him. He's so androgynous I find it amusing, and what better first outfit to suit him well but Testament's? (Testament is a char from Guilty Gear X, a fighting game that has pretty impressive anime-style graphics) I kept most of the design intact, and converted it to white.
